What types of security do you offer?
AB Security Solutions provides a wide range of professional security services tailored to suit different environments and risk levels. Our services include K9 handling, mobile patrols, event staff, SIA-licensed door supervisors, security guards, trained stewards, key holding and alarm response, CCTV monitoring and manned guarding. Whether you require a visible deterrent, crowd management, property protection or rapid response services, we can create a security solution that fits your needs.
What does SIA mean?
SIA stands for the Security Industry Authority, the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK. They issue licences to security operatives and ensure standards are met across roles such as door supervision, CCTV and close protection.
Do your security staff hold SIA licences?
Yes. All of our security personnel are fully licensed by the Security Industry Authority and have completed the required training. We also carry out additional in-house training to maintain high professional standards.
What is a Door Supervisor?
A Door Supervisor is an SIA-licensed security professional trained to manage entry points, check IDs, handle conflict, monitor crowd safety and ensure customers enjoy a safe environment.
How many door staff would my pub or venue need?
The number of door supervisors required depends on factors such as venue capacity, layout, event type, licensing conditions and risk assessment. As a general guide, smaller pubs may need 1–2 door supervisors, while larger venues or busy events may require a larger team. We’re happy to carry out a free site assessment to advise you properly.
Do I legally need door staff for my premises?
Not all venues are legally required to have door staff. However, your local council or licensing authority may make it a condition of your premises licence. Even when not mandatory, having trained security significantly reduces risk and liability.
Can you provide security for private events?
Absolutely. We provide security for private parties, weddings, corporate events, festivals and VIP functions. We tailor our services based on guest numbers, venue type and event risk level.
Do you offer mobile patrol services?
Yes, we offer mobile patrols for businesses, construction sites, residential blocks and commercial properties. Patrol schedules can be randomised or scheduled depending on your needs.
Can you provide last-minute security cover?

Are your security officers insured?
Yes. We hold full public liability insurance and employer’s liability insurance, giving our clients complete peace of mind.
Do you provide CCTV operators?
Yes, we can supply fully trained and SIA-licensed CCTV operators to monitor and manage surveillance systems for venues, retail premises and corporate sites.
